Welcome to the Graduate Medicine Informant. Here you'll find lots of (hopefully) helpful information about graduate medicine courses in Australia, whether you're just thinking about trying for a medical place or sweating on GAMSAT results.

NOTE: The admissions system was significantly revised for 2012 entry! As of the 2012 entry admissions cycle, QTAC is managing the admissions process using a system called GEMSAS, whereby applicants can select up to six preferences and all interview scores are standardised and shared between graduate medical schools. The exception to this is the University of Sydney, who are breaking away from the GAMSAT consortium and will be managing their own admissions system (effectively giving everyone a 'second chance'). Section Description
University Overview An overview of the numbers and types of places available across all universities offering a graduate medicine course in Australia, as well as detailed information about each university's course including available bonuses, prerequisites and campus locations.
Admissions Information A comparison of the different criteria each university uses to rank applicants for interview and medical school places as well as information about the minimum GAMSAT/GPA accepted in previous years.
GAMSAT Information Information about how the GAMSAT is structured and scored.
GPA Calculator A tool you can use to calculate your GPA for the purposes of entry into graduate medicine. As different universities use different GPA calculation methods, this tool allows you to calculate your GPA for any or all of them.
Magical Preference Machine A magical preference machine to help you decide which preferences to choose for your GEMSAS application.
Random Quote Generator Helps you practise for GAMSAT Section 2 by displaying a randomly-selected set of five quotations from the GMI database about which you can write a practice essay.
